The final phase of renovations is underway with the installation of a sign at the front entrance of the government center.  The sign will be constructed perpendicular to Highway 11 to increase visibility when approaching the Government Center.  The design of the new sign was provided by Tasi Moore and Ann Rose.


Many thanks to Senator Cecil Staton for funds secured to provide sod and sprinkler systems at the Government Center and Courthouse.

Landscape in front of the Government Center Building and the Courthouse was funded with grants secured by Senator Cecil Staton.  The professionally landscape grounds were a beautiful addition to the two locations.  The flowers and shrubs at the government center were designed and implemented by the Master Gardeners and are now maintained by Keep Jones Beautiful.  The lawn maintenance service for government center buildings has been contracted with a private company allowing more time for the county's building maintenance personnel to complete construction projects.  Providing the construction for numerous projects within our building maintenance department has saved a tremendous amount of money and enabled the county to complete more projects.
