Elected to the Commission Board in 2004, Comm. Merritt took office
January 1, 2005. He graduated from Georgia College & State
University in 1990 receiving a Bachelor’s degree with a major in
Accounting. He received his CPA certificate in 1995. He is a member
of the Gray United Methodist Church, is the Treasurer of the Rotary
Club, and a member of the Jones County Chamber of Commerce. He is
employed by Security Bank of Jones County.
