CodeRED SECONDS COUNT IN AN EMERGENCY J Jones County EMA recently contracted for CodeRED’s Automated Weather Warning system. CodeRED uses an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for automated call-outs of Severe Weather Bulletins by the National weather Service (NWS). Severe weather events can occur
at any time of day or night.
CodeRED calls will automatically be launched
in response to the issuance of NWS Bulletins at any
residential and business telephone that have CHOSEN
to participate through an opt-in process.
Phone Calls will be made to residents within
the line of the oncoming weather dangers.
Residents and businesses within JONES COUNTY,
GEORGIA who wish to receive the CodeRED Weather
Warning Calls can add their name and geographic
location to the database by clicking on the words
“Click Here to Signup” below.
Only those citizens who opt-in
to the service will be eligible to receive weather
warning calls.
Citizens are allowed to enter up to twn (2)
telephone contact numbers for each address.
Only addresses falling within the geography
covering Jones County will be included. While a calling data base was created by extracting information from the County’s computerized files and other public record sources, it is certain that not all phone numbers of residents and residential and business property owners within the County were captured. If you reside or own property within Jones County and would like to receive CodeRED Weather Warning calls, you may sign up by clicking the below link. IMPORTANT: USE YOUR PHYSICAL Jones County ADDRESS. DO NOT USE POST OFFICE OR OUT OF TOWN ADDRESSES.
