The Jones County Public Health Center is located in Gray behind the
public library. The walk-in services, including immunizations,
hearing, vision and dental screening, blood pressure checks and
Environmental services, are available Monday through Thursday,
8:30-11:30 AM and 1-3:30 PM and Fridays by appointment. Extended
services are offered on Mondays from 4:30 PM to 6 PM by appointment
only.
Other services which are available by appointment include: family
planning, pregnancy testing, cervical and breast cancer screening,
mammogram referral, sexually transmitted disease evaluation,
tuberculosis follow up, SHAPP (stroke and heart attack prevention
program), HIV testing and counseling, children’s health checks, WIC
(women, infants, and children nutritional program), Prenatal Case
Management, and Pregnancy Related Services, Children’s first family
home assessment program and home visits are available as needed. The
county nurse manager is Goldie Hicks, RN, and the office manager is
Linda Harrell.
