The Jones County Board of Tax Assessors is located at the Jones County Government Center on Highway 11 and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This office is charged with the responsibility of: maintaining current ownership of property, valuation of all classes of property both real and personal, pre-billed mobile homes, specialized assessments, homestead exemptions, timber transactions, and aerial photography. State law requires new photography every 10 years. Maps were updated in 2006.
