Commission
Meeting Policy:
The Board of Commissioners adopted a Meeting Policy at the July
08, 2010 meeting. The policy will begin with the July 20,
2010 Meeting. A copy of the policy can be viewed or
downloaded by clicking the underlined above.
Portions of the policy are included in the Ordinance adopted
08/17/2010. Highlights from
the policy include:
-
Citizens not already on the
agenda may address the Board at the meeting but must sign in
with the County Clerk before the meeting starts. They
will be limited to three minutes. There will be a
maximum of five speakers under Citizens' Comments per
meeting.
-
Anyone that will have
information to hand out to the commissioners at the meeting
are now required to give that information to the County
Clerk. The clerk will make copies and distribute them
to the commissioners. The commissioners will be given
ample time to review your information prior to the meeting
so that they can devote their attention to their guest while
discussing their issue.
-
County Department Managers
that have items on the agenda must submit them on the
approved form containing pertinent information needed by the
commissioners to make an informed decision. The form
provides an organized, consistent format.
