The Jones County Board of Commissioners always welcomes submission of applications and resumes. An application is required for all positions. Minimum Wage increased to $7.25 per hour July 2009

It has been the pleasure of the Board to provide special events to our employees. It is their way of showing their appreciation for your job well done. It is also a time of fellowship and an opportunity to get to know employees outside of our individual departments. Our first county luncheon was in the early 1980’s and the Gray/Jones County Clean Community Commission sponsored a luncheon for the City and County Public Works Departments in appreciation for their work and dedication to the community. Carol Brittain was the Director and the Clean Community Commission Board cooked the meal. The first Employee Appreciation Day was sponsored by the Board and organized by Commissioner David C.
