Plant Operator (Full Time) WD23-02504

The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full – time Plant Operator.  The candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Jones County water plants, related pump stations, and water tanks.  The candidate will also be responsible for performing periodic checks of the water plants, wells, pump stations, and water tanks; supplying accurate amounts of needed chemicals to the water system; and performing laboratory tests and corrective and preventative maintenance.  The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 – 2 years’ experience, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and a Class III water license.
