Appraiser I, II, or III

The Jones County Board of Assessor’s is accepting applications for a full- time Appraiser I, II, or III.  This applicant will be responsible for performing tax assessment duties on real and personal property.  The position is responsible for estimating the fair market value of all taxable property within the county and through the ad valorem valuation of property, determining how the tax will be distributed equitably among taxpayers. The applicant must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to meet all requirements of Appraiser I mandated by the Georgia Department of Revenue.
