Animal Services Director (Full – Time) AS25 – 02100

The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full – time Animal Services Director. The applicant will be responsible for overseeing the enforcement of animal related county, state and federal codes, working closely with animal rescue groups, maintaining efficient operation of the shelter, managing the budget, creating work schedules, monitoring inventory of drugs used for euthanasia, coordinating volunteer programs, handling disputes and complaints, and issuing citations. The applicant must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years management experience, 3-5 years animal services or law enforcement experience, and ERP Pro 10 experience is preferred.
