The mission of Public Works is to provide the county and its citizens with quality, routine and emergency maintenance of the road system throughout our county. With 993.43 miles of roads in Jones County (includes City and County), our dedication to providing these services is both challenging and rewarding. One of the largest divisions in the county’s organization, public works encompasses fleet management, utilities coordination, solid waste, rights-of-way, bridges, reclamation and stabilization, clearing and road building.
Angela Frazier serves as the contact person and dispatcher at public works. She also supervises the recycling centers. You may contact Angela at (478) 986-3501.
Jones County has its own maintenance shop and is managed by Andy Miller. It is located on the same complex as the Public Works department.
