Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities with Jones County Government.  Jones County is a rapidly, growing county; in order to provide the best services possible to our residents, our workforce is also growing! The Jones County Board of Commissioners always welcomes submission of employment application (required for all positions) and resumes as supplemental information to your employment application.

Jones County does not currently operate a landfill.  We offer 9 convenience centers for solid waste disposal.

To speak with the Environmental Code Enforcement Officer directly, please call (478) 986-6084.  This office is located in the Jones County Government Center at 166 Industrial Blvd in Gray Georgia.

Should you need information or assistance and do not wish to contact 911, you may call the Jones County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 986-3489. As with any emergency if this is a medical emergency or life threatening emergency please dial 911 immediately.

If you received a traffic ticket from a city of Gray police officer, pay your ticket at the Municipal Court located at 151 James St. Gray, GA 31032.  The hours of operation for the Gray Municipal Court are Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.  You may contact the Municipal Court at (478) 986-5431

If you received a traffic ticket from a Jones County Sheriff’s deputy, Georgia State Patrol officer of from the department of Natural Resources, you will pay your ticket at the Jones County Probate Court Office in the Jones county Courthouse, first floor, 110 South Jefferson street., Gray, GA 31032. The location of your polling place is listed on your precinct card.  If you do not have one, or have misplaced your card and do not know where your polling place is located, please visit HERE .  You may also contact the Jones County Elections Office at (478) 986-3222 located at 166 Industrial Blvd, Suite 102, Gray, GA 31032.

We conduct a 3-week period of Early Voting prior to every Primary and Election.  You can vote in the Jones County Elections Office during that three week period.  Anyone that takes advantage of the Early Voting will come into the Office.  If you vote on election day, you must go to your assigned precinct.

If you need to file a change of address with the Jones County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office, you can complete the back of your precinct card and mail it to the office.  If you no longer have your precinct card, you may print off a voter registration application and mail it to the Jones County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office.   The mailing address is PO Box 1417, Gray, GA  31032.   If you hold a valid Georgia Driver’s License, you may complete the change online HERE .   Click on the elections tab at the top of the page.  If the request is done within 30 days of an Election, the change will not take effect until after the Election.
