Recycling Centers

Solid waste collection is performed at nine(9) manned recycling centers throughout Jones County. Jones County does not operate a landfill other than for yard debris. Yard debris is accepted only at the Overland Way facility. Please Check below for the days of Operation for your Convenience Center. Operating hours for the centers are 7-7 Tuesday – Saturday and 1-7 Sunday when scheduled to be opened.

  • Tires, shingles, propane tanks and freon tanks are not accepted at any recycling center.
  • Cardboard Motor oil recycle locations:Garrison Road, Rock Creek Road, Walnut Creek Shooting Preserve and Overland Way.
  • Batteries are accepted to be recycled at all locations except Juliette.
  • Newspaper is recycled as a fund raiser for the Keep Jones Beautiful Commission at the recycling center on Industrial Boulevard by the Government Center building.
  • Solid waste is transported to nearby landfills.
