The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Planning & Zoning Clerk. The applicant will be responsible for issuing building permit applications and beer and wine license applications, processing applications for re-zonings, conditional uses and variances for the P&Z Board of Appeals and Adjustments and the Board of Commissioners, preparing agendas and minutes for the P&Z Board of Appeals and Adjustments, and placing legal ads in the paper and filing notices. The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of customer service experience.
