An important resource in Jones County, the Public Library has been providing library services and public interest programming for over 70 years.

The facility is one of the most distinctive public buildings in Jones County. The library moved to its current site in 1988 and was renovated in 2018. It houses over 26,000 items in its collection including genealogical and historical books and family histories for use in the library.

Jones County Public Library offers a computer lab with over 12 desktops connected to the internet for public use. Also, WiFi is free for patrons to use with personal devices. Patrons can access the online catalog HERE.

For digital reading options, Jones County Public Library offers two digital applications that are available for download:  Hoopla & Libby. Both offer e-books and e-audiobooks for all ages. As part of Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGRL), Jones County Public Library is able to provide access to library materials in and out of the state of Georgia. Requested items are delivered on a weekly basis.
