Appraiser I – Real / Personal Property (Full – Time) TA26-00712

The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Appraiser I.  The applicant will be responsible for performing entry-level to routine real and business personal property appraisal and assessment work for ad valorem taxation in accordance with Georgia law, Department of Revenue regulations, and county procedures.  The applicant will conduct field inspections, review property returns and supporting records, apply approved valuation schedules, and maintain accurate assessment records.  The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Georgia driver’s license, a Georgia Department of Revenue Appraiser I certification, and 1-2 years’ experience.
